The Shadow-gloom and Weight of the Sacred

In honor of and respect for those who lost their lives nine years ago today, I've committed to not whining (for at least today) over all the things that I normally whine about. Is there a single thing that doesn't seem petty in the face of such tragedy. I doubt the generations who lived through this event will ever outgrow its shadow. Hopefully, the memories will motivate us towards greater compassion, empathy and love.
